I stayed at the Backcountry Inn in Waupoos for a weekend getaway. The rustic charm of the hostel was perfect for my love of the outdoors. The cleanliness exceeded my expectations, and I felt safe even without a lock on the door. Danielle, the host, was friendly and helpful, and the shared kitchen was spotless with ample space to cook and relax. The location allowed for a true escape from technology, and sitting by the fire watching fireflies was magical. The proximity to Picton, Bloomfield, and Wellington made exploring easy, and the nearby Waupoos Winery was a great bonus.

    I do recommend this hotel.

The location of the inn and hostel is ideal for those looking to explore the nearby vineyards and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. Guests can easily visit the towns of Picton and Bloomfield, as well as the Sandbanks Provincial Park, with just a short drive. The bed in the queen size room was reported to be very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Along with a well-equipped bathroom and kitchen, the hostel offers a value for money stay.

Some guests mentioned that the lack of lighting along the marina road made it difficult to find the inn and hostel at night.
